Welcome to Thompson’s Shorty Bulls and American Bulldogs!  Tommy and Connie Thompson live on a large ranch near Lone Grove in south-central Oklahoma.  Tommy manages the ranch, Connie teaches 5th grade, and our twin boys are involved in hunting, fishing, and cowboying

Here at Thompson's Shorty Bulls kennel, we take pride in producing great Shorties.  Our breeding stock took root in Jamie Sweet of Blue River Bullies and are registered with BBC, BBCR, C3, and ABKC. Our main Shorty male is HKB's Ratchet, one of the few sons of Blue River Heff and Blue River Fergie (littermate to Rampage).  We are also proud to have produced an ABKC GR CH Champion, Thompson's Annie Oakley.  Annie came by it honestly in that she is the daughter of CH NSB Maverick who won the 2011 ABKC National Best of Breed ShortyBull Champion title.

Thompson's Shortybulls would like to honor 3 productions that won their way to the ABKC Top Ten in 2014:  The #3 Shortybull in the nation was GRCH Thompson's The Duke, owned by Eddie Rodriguez of Houston and shown to 12 ABKC Best-In-Show wins by handler Julie Kowal. The #4 nationally-ranked Shorty was GrCh Thompson's Colt 45, owned and shown by Miles Lanier of North Carolina. Colt 45 won his greatest honor as the 2014 ABKC Nationals Best of Breed winner. The #8 ABKC Shortybull was the female, Ch Thompson's Lori Darlin, owned and shown by Magen & Ryan Byrd of Texas. Thompson's kennel is certainly proud of these 3 Shortybull productions and of the dedication of their owners to win their way onto the 2014 Top Ten list!

All our Shorties are the authentic trademarked Shortybulls.   Shorties are all bulldog, just in a smaller package with nothing frail or yappy about them!  The standard (on the Shorty page) was set to keep their weight below 40 lbs. and their height at 15 in. or under.  Shortybulls were designed with athleticism, drive, disposition, health, as well as show-quality conformation in mind. Best of all is their comical nature.... Shorties will keep you laughing all day long with their delightful antics.

Thompson's American Bulldog foundation stock came from David Thompson of Mansfield, Texas, who has bred American Bulldogs for over 20 years. Just as David practices, we strive toward top quality, athletic bulldogs. The puppies we produce are based on the bloodlines of Ironman Tyson; our males range from 105 to 120 lbs, and the females weigh around 85 to 100 lbs.
